HAGLEY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
During May there were a host of activities to enrich the lives of our students. The Ratatat Theatre Company performed "Happy Jack" which was enjoyed by pupils, their families and the staff.
Year 7 students attended the Salters Festival of Chemistry at Aston University and a Rocket Science Master Class at Birmingham University. They were congratulated upon finishing second in this fifteen school event.
In June we hosted the West Midlands Science and Engineering training day. The Year 8 rugby team reached the final of the English Emerging Rugby Schools Competition, held in London and acquitted themselves very well. Year 9 benefitted from Bhangra Workshops in school.
Following SATs, Year 9 can look forward to a range of activities including a visit to Sunfield, an art trip, a visiting theatre, an art exhibition, a design and technology exhibition, a visiting graffiti artist and an enterprise day.
During half-term a group of staff and sixth form students joined the Birmingham Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in order to help sick and elderly pilgrims. This has become an annual opportunity to put deepening faith into action and develop a sense of belonging to the world wide Church.
