GIRL GUIDING WALTON DISTRICT

If you were in Hagley village on Saturday 15th March and thought you saw a large white rabbit, no you were not dreaming, it was there.

Walton District Girlguiding held a ‘Meet the Easter Bunny and Craft Morning’ at the Free Church Hall. One of our dedicated guiders was in that costume; she will remain anonymous so as not to lose her street cred! It proved to be a very successful and enjoyable morning with much cutting, sticking and decorating taking place. A big thank you to all who supported the event and for the Guiders who organised it and gave up their time to run it. If you came along and enjoyed the experience why not join us to enjoy more of the same every week by becoming a leader with Girlguiding?

This year we say Happy 21st Birthday to the Rainbow section of Girlguiding. Yes 21 years ago Girlguiding introduced a programme for 5-7 year old girls. This proved very successful and in Hagley we have two thriving groups. To celebrate there are many activities taking place and it wouldn’t be a celebration without a party. So, calling all ex-Rainbows and Guiders especially if you were one of the originals: watch this space for more details. To find out about becoming a leader or helper 883593. For Brownies and Rainbows contact Di 883336 and Maggie 884907 respectively
