HAYBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL & SIXTH FORM
As the summer rapidly approaches, the staff and students here at Haybridge High School and Sixth Form have been as busy as ever. We recently celebrated our inclusion in a list of the top schools in the country by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust for our Value Added scores, which measure the level to which our students improve between their Key Stage 3 and GCSE examinations compared to students nationally.
Our Executive Principal Dr. Melvyn Kershaw has been nominated for Secondary Headteacher of the Year, Sue Jones for a lifetime achievement award in her final year of teaching before a welldeserved retirement, and the inspirational Nicola Stanfield for Teacher of the Year. Congratulations to all.
By the time you read this our students will be in the middle of their exam season, and we wish them luck in all their endeavours. Students will also be preparing for excursions to Spain and France, and will have said goodbye to our Chinese students and staff who experienced Haybridge life at the end of May. A date for your diaries.... the Haybridge Reunion is fast approaching, and tickets are selling fast for the event on the 5 July 2008, which promises to be a memorable day.
