Free! Speaking in Public Taster Evening
Following on from the successful event held back in October, we will be hosting another evening where there will be a chance to Look, Listen and Learn and try for yourself if you wish. This is an opportunity for anyone who wants to improve speaking and presentation skills, confidence and career prospects.
Join us for the Taster Evening in the Windsor Room, Talbot Hotel, Stourbridge High Street on Wednesday 24 March at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start. Given that most people are nervous about speaking, we try to put everyone at ease as soon as they arrive. Feedback from attendees last time included, "Very helpful, interesting and entertaining" and "Welcoming, put at ease".
Julia Tolson is a "convert" from our previous Taster. Julia said, "Like many people, I find public speaking quite a challenge. To overcome this, I've recently taken the plunge and joined Stourbridge Speakers Club. In the short time I've been with the club my own speaking skills have improved; it's been great fun and very entertaining at the same time."
You can just turn up on the night for the Taster event but if you can't make it, come along to one of our regular club meetings in the Talbot. In March they are on 1st, 15th and 29th.
