TENNIS CLUB

Hagley Tennis Club was formed on May 15th 1980 and play started on July 19th 1980 on the Haybridge High School Courts. The first ball was played by Mrs Hammersley.

In January 1986 the Club moved from the Haybridge courts to the courts sited at the Catholic School. This included moving the famous Club Hut which was carried across the road. The Club now has improved facilities; a Club Pavilion and a secured area within the grounds of the Catholic School. It runs an annual Club Tournament and enters teams into the Hereford and Worcester and the Kidderminster Leagues. Junior coaching is available on Saturday mornings during term times. The Social Calendar of the Club includes a variety of events, such as American Tournaments, mix-in evenings at the Next Generation Club, during the winter months, often followed by a Balti. Members also enjoy Club Dinners, rambles, BBQs and Club holidays.

Today, some of the Founder members are still playing and continue to be actively involved in the Club. If you are an ex-member or would like to join us then please contact contact Linda Cross 883344.
