Current news from Hagley Rambler Scouts
A huge ‘Bravo’ to the leaders in Hagley Ramblers Scout Group. Over the past year, they have managed and adapted to what we all know were extremely difficult circumstances. Their commitment and versatility has been remarkable and a fantastic example of scouting principles in action. These spectacular individuals undertake their scouting roles on a voluntary basis, they have busy jobs, hectic family lives and still find that extra time to give to the wider community. Words can’t really describe the value they add to people’s lives but I hope you will join me in thanking them for what they do for us.
We are now back to face to face scouting although not quite as we know it. The amount of time that it now takes to prepare for meetings has lengthened considerably due to the risk assessment approval process. Although risk assessments have always been part of scouting we now have to do additional Covid Location Risk Assessments.
As always, if any parents/carers would like to join us as volunteers we will welcome you with open arms. No prior experience is necessary and full training is provided. It’s lovely to be involved in something that is all about giving and having a positive impact on the world – the more the merrier!
