Current news from Village Ladies
How good it is that we can meet once again at our usual fortnightly Tuesday evening meetings. Village Ladies met for the first time in 18 months on 14 September for a registration and social evening and there was so much to catch up on that steam could be clearly seen rising over St. Saviour’s Hall.
Our meetings in November will be on 9th and 23rd and, as usual, will be in St Saviour’s Church Hall beginning at 8.00pm. Firstly, on the 9th, our speaker is Simon Gulliver, and his title is ‘The History of the Botanical Gardens’. This is a must for anyone interested in gardens, large or small and certainly for those who have visited these beautiful gardens close to the centre of Birmingham.
On 23 November we welcome back Sue Langley who will be helping you to ‘De-stress Your Life’, something we may all benefit from these days. This sounds very different from her first visit to us in 2017 when her never-to-be-forgotten title was ‘The Builder who wore Pink Nail Varnish and Yellow Marigolds’. Perhaps this builder caused the stress!!!
Come and spend a relaxing couple of hours with us away from the washing up, listen to our many and varied speakers, meet old and new friends while chatting and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. We would be so pleased to see you.
If you are not yet a Village Lady and would like further details please ring our leader, Sue Billington, on 01562 885799 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be very happy to give you all the information you need
