Current news from Walton District Guides and Brownies
How lucky are in this district that all units have now been able to meet face to face. This is thanks to the dedication of the terrific leaders in the district and their dedication. This is not the picture across the country where units are finding it difficult to meet so the members in Walton District are very lucky.
All sections have been busy outdoors with many Rainbows and Brownies working towards the Midlands Wildlife Badge with I Do One Thing (IDOT) girls have learnt the countryside code, built dens in the woods, gone on wildlife spotting walks and constructed bird feeders and wormeries.
Guides have been enjoying adventures at Blackwell Court and Beaconfield where they have had space to explore and do some traditional guiding like cooking in a cardboard box and foil oven.
Rangers have tried their hand at whittling and cooked outdoors and are looking forward to an end of term Stand Up Paddle Boarding session on the Lakeside Campus of the University of Worcester.
