Current news from Active Seniors

We are pleased to announce that some of our classes will be restarting at the Community Centre from Mid-September – with a covid safe environment and all required distancing in place!
In addition we will now be at the centre for three sessions a week as we add Monday mornings to our long standing Tuesday and Thursday afternoon bookings. This will enable us to run a brand new class to Hagley – our popular Happy Hearts session which will be 9.30-10.30 on Monday mornings. This class for active older adults focuses on building general fitness and stamina with cardiovascular ‘stations’ followed by some muscular toning work with weights and resistance bands. Traditionally this class would be a ‘circuit’ type class but because of the current covid viruses we do not share equipment and instead everyone will work within an allocated 3 x 3 m space.
As this is a brand new class we currently have a few spaces available so if you are interested please call Angela on 07512 546480 to discuss. All class places need to be pre-booked so please call in advance and don’t just turn up. Our other classes have very limited availability but if you are looking for a class that includes strength and balance work then do give us a call.
Tai chi classes will be returning to on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (last couple of spaces available) and we will be working on Yang 8 and medical qigong. If you are interested, ring for details.
