Parish Council Opening Hours Monday to Thursday 9.00a.m. - 2.00 p.m.
I would like to begin in welcoming Suhayla Lawson and Stephen Fitzpatrick to Hagley Parish Council.
Both were co-opted onto the Council at the HPC meeting in June. I look forward to working with them and hope that they enjoy their time with the Council. At the time of writing, final plans are being put in place to remove the fences from the field and for the Pavilion to formally opened. As a reminder the fences have had to remain in place whilst Severn Trent Water completed its works to re-instate the field to a minimum of a ‘good’ standard. Had the fences been removed before this work had been completed and the field did not meet the required standard, the responsibility for any remedial works would have fallen at the feet of HPC. The opening of the Pavilion has meant that the Clerks’ office will now be in the Pavilion building itself. The office and meeting room on Worcester Rd have been vacated. Future HPC meetings will be held in the Pavilion meeting room. Now that we are ‘open’ for business we would welcome any enquiries as to future hire of the amenity.
Being optimistic about the wider opening up of society on the 19 July, I would urge more usage of the community bus. It is there for anyone who has difficulty getting out and about or accessing the scheduled bus/train routes. Designed to be flexible, it goes to local shopping areas as well as running special trips where there is a good demand.
I hope that the planned return to normality and the arrival of summer brings much joy and relief to us all.
Councillor Steve Colella Chairman Hagley Parish Council
