St John's Hand & Tower Bellringers

Afternoon tutorial sessions for new and returning Ringers will commence from Monday 17 May (subject to COVID rules). Up until Monday 21 June aThree child relatives of current Tower Bell Ringers are interested. The best time for this would be outside school term times. Parents are keen to see their children in organised activates during the holidays, so this may be a good idea for a young person in your family.

The times & duration of the sessions is yet to be decided. In the past four young people have joined our band. With two of them being siblings, it has enabled us to ring more bells as lock-down was easing. All church activities are conducted under strict Church of England Safe-Guarding policies. There is no requirement to attend church services. Bell-ringing is open to all faiths and ethnicities. There would always be two adults with young persons. Transport is the responsibility of the parents. Generally, children of approximately 9 years of age are mature enough to learn and master the skills. They do so considerably quicker than adults.

St. Johns is tucked away sandwiched between Hagley Hall, the deer park, the cricket club and the Clent Hills. Just drive up to the Littleton Arms and keep going. There is plenty of free parking and even a small meeting room for use of local organisations.
