One of our favourite dances, appropriate for this time of year, is “Upon a Summer’s Day”. Written in 1650, it survived Cromwell’s Commonwealth and is still enjoyed in dance clubs up and down the country. The Monarchy also survived Cromwell and on 2 June we will be joining the celebrations for the Queen’s 70 years reign when we give a brief demonstration at the village Jubilee party.
Everyone is invited to join us in a dance to round off our contribution. In the meantime, new members are welcome to our Monday afternoon sessions, 2 pm to 3.30 pm. In the Free Church Hall. There is plenty of parking via Chapel Street. There is no charge for a first visit, subsequently the cost is £2.50 per person.
