Voluntary, charitable and community groups in Bromsgrove District are being invited to bid for a share of this year’s small grants funding or as it will now be known, Equality Small Grants Scheme. We are also encouraging all groups to prepare for the 2021 New Homes Bonus scheme which is due to be launched in April. Contact your ward member for further help and support.
Several complaints have been received in respect of the very poor state of the A456, A491 and A450. We agree that the authorities have allowed these main roadways to become heavily littered, with large areas of weeds, roadside debris and generally looking in an unmaintained and unmanaged condition. The responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep sits with both BDC and WCC. We have contacted the Head of Service at BDC to liaise with WCC and ensure that these problems are tackled as a matter of urgency.
The loose sewer drain cover on the A456 in the vicinity of Brook Crescent has also been reported to Severn Trent Water for repair ASAP.
